From higher education to housekeeping franchisee for Milton Keynes mum

Milton Keynes mum of three Cecilia Amaeshike spent the past nine years working as a faculty manager at the Milton Keynes based Open University. But now she is swapping the world of higher education for housekeeping as she launches her own eco-friendly domestic homecare franchise business within the franchise territory of Milton Keynes.

Wanting a career that would give her both a new challenge and more flexibility in her working life, Cecilia, who lives in Milton Keynes with her family, launched her new Bright & Beautiful cleaning franchise business to bring a very different domestic housekeeping service to her franchise territory that consists of Milton Keynes, Newport Pagnell, Olney, Great Horwood and Little Horwood.

Having worked in the education sector for over nine years Cecilia had also previously worked for the London Ambulance Service as a station administrator and in the local banking sector, rising to the post of Branch Manager. With such a busy working life Cecilia was inspired to start her own housekeeping business when she was unable to find a good cleaning company that could provide a total housekeeping solution for her own home.

Her new franchise business will be creating a number of jobs for other women and men who want to have a career but not at the expense of family life or job security. Cecilia’s team of housekeepers will be using only eco-friendly and non-toxic products to deliver ethical, professional and eco-friendly cleaning, tidying and laundry services.

Cecilia said:

As a busy working mum, I know how much we value coming home to a clean and tidy house but also just how important it is to spend quality time with your loved ones. We all have so many demands on our diaries these days and family time should be just that, not eaten up by cleaning and ironing.
“Knowing there must be others like me who would like to deal with just one professional and eco-friendly company taking care of all their housekeeping requirements, I recognized a gap in the market and am enormously excited to launch my new cleaning franchise business, giving the families of Milton Keynes back their free time.”

Bright & Beautiful is an award-winning franchise business model that was founded by entrepreneur Rachel Ray in 2007. A busy working mum herself, Rachel spotted a gap in the market for a domestic cleaning company that provided full fair employment rights for its team, non-toxic cleaning products and an exceptional housekeeping service for its clients. Since then the business has grown from strength to strength with franchisees around the UK employing carefully vetted professional housekeepers and servicing thousands of clients.
